1. About these terms

1.1 These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between Aletheia Lunara Consult ("we", "us", "our") and you, the person or organisation using our website or services ("you", "your").

1.2 Aletheia Lunara Consult is a professional education and consulting firm registered in Ghana under the Registration of Business Names Act, 1962 (Act 151), Business Registration Number BN343830326, P.O. Box 479, Winneba, Central Region, Ghana.

1.3 These Terms apply when you visit aletheialunaraconsult.org (the "Website"), download our resources, register for or attend any of our programmes, or contact us through the Website.

1.4 By using the Website or registering for a programme, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Website or our services.

1.5 If you accept these Terms on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation.

1.6 Consulting, research and analytics engagements are governed by the proposal, contract or engagement letter agreed with the client. Where that agreement conflicts with these Terms, the agreement prevails.

2. Definitions

  • Programme: any course, workshop, webinar, masterclass, bootcamp, corporate training or other learning activity we offer, whether online, in person or blended.
  • Participant: a person registered to attend a Programme.
  • Sponsor: an employer or other organisation that registers or pays for one or more Participants.
  • Materials: slides, workbooks, handouts, datasets, templates, case studies, recordings, assessments and any other content we provide in connection with a Programme.
  • Resources: articles, HR Lexicon entries, white papers, reports and other content published or offered for download on the Website.
  • Fee: the price of a Programme as shown on the Website, registration form, invoice or proposal.

3. Using the Website

3.1 You may use the Website for lawful purposes only and in line with these Terms.

3.2 You must not:

  • try to gain access to any part of the Website, server or data not intended for you;
  • introduce viruses, malicious code or anything else that could harm the Website or other users;
  • scrape, harvest or bulk-download content or other users’ information;
  • use the Website or our contact channels to send unsolicited marketing;
  • misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us or registering.

3.3 We aim to keep the Website available and accurate but do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.

4. Our Programmes

4.1 We offer open-enrolment Programmes that individuals can register for, and corporate or in-house Programmes delivered for a single organisation (see section 12).

4.2 Programme descriptions on the Website set out the topics, format, duration and intended audience. They are a guide; the detailed content may be adjusted to keep it current and relevant.

4.3 Some Programmes have entry requirements, such as prior knowledge, software or equipment. It is your responsibility to check that you meet them before registering.

5. Registration

5.1 You register by completing our registration form or by written confirmation from a Sponsor. You must give accurate, complete and current information.

5.2 Your registration is confirmed when we send you a written confirmation and, where a Fee applies, we have received payment or an approved Sponsor purchase order.

5.3 Places are limited and allocated in order of confirmed registration. We may decline a registration or put you on a waiting list.

5.4 Your registration is personal to you. You must not share joining links, login details or access to Materials with anyone else.

6. Fees and payment

6.1 Fees are shown on the Website, the registration form, your invoice or our proposal. Unless another currency is stated, Fees are in Ghana cedis (GHS). Any applicable taxes are shown on the invoice.

6.2 Unless stated otherwise, the Fee covers tuition, Materials for that Programme and, where offered, a certificate. It does not cover travel, accommodation, meals at venues we do not arrange, internet data or equipment.

6.3 Payment is due in full before the Programme start date or, for Sponsors, within the period stated on the invoice, using the payment methods shown on the invoice or registration form. Bank and transfer charges are your responsibility.

6.4 If payment is not received when due, we may withhold access to the Programme, Materials or certificate until it is paid.

6.5 Discounts (early-bird, group, alumni or promotional) apply only within their stated conditions and cannot be combined unless we say so.

6.6 We may change Fees for future Programmes. A confirmed and paid registration is not affected.

7. Cancellations, transfers and refunds

7.1 Cancellation by you. Cancellations must be made in writing to training@aletheialunaraconsult.org. The following applies to open-enrolment Programmes:

Written notice before the start date Refund
14 days or more Full refund
7 to 13 days 50% refund, or a full transfer to a future Programme
Fewer than 7 days, or no-show No refund

7.2 Substitution. You may send a colleague in your place at no extra charge if you tell us in writing before the Programme starts.

7.3 Transfer. Where a transfer is allowed, it may be used once, for a Programme starting within 6 months. Any price difference is payable by you; a lower price is not refunded.

7.4 Missed sessions. Missing part of a Programme does not entitle you to a refund. Where recordings are offered, you may catch up using them.

7.5 Cancellation or postponement by us. We may cancel or postpone a Programme, for example if too few people register, a facilitator is unavailable, or events outside our control arise. We will tell you as early as we can and offer a transfer to new dates or a full refund of Fees paid. We are not liable for other costs you incurred, such as travel or accommodation.

7.6 Approved refunds are paid within 30 days, to the original payment method where possible.

8. Programme delivery and changes

8.1 Programmes are delivered online through Zoom or other video-conferencing platforms, in person at client premises or hired venues in Ghana, or a mix of both, as stated for each Programme.

8.2 For online Programmes you are responsible for a suitable device, a stable internet connection and the required software. We are not responsible for sessions you miss because of your own connection or equipment.

8.3 We may change facilitators, venues, session times, platforms or the order of content where reasonably necessary, without materially reducing what the Programme offers. We will tell you of significant changes in advance.

8.4 For in-person sessions you must follow the venue’s rules, including health, safety and security instructions.

9. Participant conduct

9.1 We want every session to be a respectful, professional learning space. As a Participant you agree to:

  • treat facilitators and other Participants with courtesy and respect;
  • not harass, discriminate against, threaten or abuse anyone;
  • keep confidential anything other Participants share about themselves or their organisations;
  • not record, photograph, screenshot or livestream sessions without our written permission;
  • not share joining links or let anyone else attend in your place without our agreement;
  • not use sessions to advertise, sell or recruit;
  • submit your own work in any assessment and not plagiarise or cheat.

9.2 If you breach these rules, we may remove you from a session or Programme, withhold a certificate, or refuse future registrations. No refund is due in that case.

10. Session recordings

10.1 Some online sessions are recorded so that Participants can review them. We will tell you when a session is being recorded.

10.2 If your camera or microphone is on, your name, image and voice may appear in the recording. You can keep your camera off or use the chat if you prefer not to appear.

10.3 Recordings are shared only with Participants of that Programme, for the period we state, and are then deleted, as described in our Privacy Policy. They are for your personal learning only and must not be downloaded, copied or shared.

10.4 Recordings are a learning aid. We do not guarantee that every session will be recorded or that a recording will be complete.

11. Certificates

11.1 Where a Programme offers a certificate, it is issued to Participants who meet its completion requirements, such as a minimum attendance of 80% and, where applicable, a passing assessment score.

11.2 Certificates confirm attendance or completion of a professional development Programme by Aletheia Lunara Consult. Unless we state otherwise in writing, they are not academic qualifications and do not confer a licence or a professional designation from another body.

11.3 Where a Programme counts toward continuing professional development with another body, we will say so. Recognition is decided by that body, not by us.

11.4 We may verify certificates on request and may revoke one issued in error or obtained through misconduct.

12. Corporate and in-house training

12.1 Programmes delivered for a single organisation are governed by our proposal or agreement with that Sponsor, together with these Terms.

12.2 The Sponsor is responsible for:

  • confirming dates, Participant numbers and the Participant list by the agreed deadline;
  • providing a suitable venue, equipment and internet access where training is at its premises;
  • making sure its Participants follow section 9;
  • paying Fees and agreed expenses (such as facilitator travel and accommodation) on time.

12.3 Postponement or cancellation by the Sponsor is subject to the fees in the proposal or agreement. Where none are set out, the following apply:

Written notice before the first session Postponement fee Cancellation fee
More than 30 days None 25% of the Fee
15 to 30 days 20% of the Fee 50% of the Fee
Fewer than 15 days 50% of the Fee 100% of the Fee

Non-refundable costs we have already incurred, such as travel bookings, are payable in addition.

12.4 Materials prepared or customised for a Sponsor remain our property unless the agreement says otherwise. The Sponsor may use them internally for its own Participants.

13. Intellectual property

13.1 The Website, Materials and Resources, including text, slides, graphics, logos, datasets, templates, frameworks, recordings and course design, are owned by Aletheia Lunara Consult or used with the owner’s permission. They are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws, including Ghana’s Copyright Act, 2005 (Act 690).

13.2 The name "Aletheia Lunara Consult", our logo and the tagline "Data-Driven Decisions" may not be used without our prior written permission, including in a way that suggests we endorse or partner with you.

13.3 All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.

14. Use of Programme Materials

14.1 We grant each Participant a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Materials for their own learning and to apply what they learn in their own work.

14.2 Unless we agree in writing, you must not:

  • copy, share, sell, publish or upload Materials, in whole or in part;
  • use Materials to deliver training, workshops or courses to others, whether paid or free;
  • adapt Materials or create courses or products based on them;
  • remove copyright notices or our branding.

14.3 Templates, worksheets and tools that we expressly provide for you to use in your work may be used inside your own organisation.

14.4 Work you create and submit during a Programme, such as assignments and project outputs, remains yours. You allow us to use it to assess you and, with your permission, as an anonymised example in future Programmes.

15. Website Resources and downloads

15.1 You may view, download and print our free articles, HR Lexicon entries, white papers and reports for personal use or internal use within your organisation.

15.2 You may quote short extracts if you credit Aletheia Lunara Consult and, where applicable, the named author, and link to the source on our Website. Republishing a full Resource, or using it in material you sell, needs our written permission.

15.3 Some downloads ask for your name and email address. We use those details as described in our Privacy Policy.

15.4 If you send us feedback, suggestions or testimonials, you allow us to use them to improve our services. We will ask your permission before publishing your name, photograph or a testimonial.

16. Disclaimer

16.1 Aletheia Lunara Consult provides content as an information service to its readers and clients. It does not offer legal advice and cannot guarantee the accuracy or suitability of its content for a particular purpose.

16.2 Our Resources, Materials and Programmes are for general information and professional education. They do not replace legal, financial, tax, medical or other professional advice based on your circumstances. Employment, data protection and other laws change and differ between countries, so check the current position before acting.

16.3 Examples, case studies, data and results discussed in our content are for illustration. Completing a Programme does not guarantee any job, promotion, certification by another body, or business result.

16.4 Views expressed by guest facilitators, speakers or authors are their own and not necessarily ours.

16.5 Any reliance you place on our content is at your own risk.

17. Third-party websites and platforms

17.1 The Website links to, and our Programmes use, services run by others, including Google Forms, Zoom and other video platforms, WhatsApp and payment providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

17.2 We do not control third-party websites or platforms and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or practices. A link does not mean we endorse the site.

18. Limitation of liability

18.1 The Website and Resources are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.

18.2 To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, data or opportunity, arising from your use of the Website, Resources, Materials or Programmes.

18.3 Our total liability to you in connection with a Programme is limited to the Fee you paid for that Programme. To the extent the law allows, we have no liability for free Resources or for your use of the Website.

18.4 Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

18.5 We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as power or internet outages, platform failures, illness of a facilitator, severe weather, public health measures or civil unrest.

19. Your responsibility to us

You agree to compensate us for reasonable losses and costs, including legal costs, that result from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Website, Materials or Resources.

20. Suspension and termination

20.1 We may suspend or end your access to the Website, a Programme or Materials if you breach these Terms, misuse our content, or fail to pay Fees when due.

20.2 Sections that by their nature should continue, including those on intellectual property, disclaimer, limitation of liability and governing law, continue to apply after your access ends.

21. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information when you use the Website, register for or attend a Programme, or contact us. It forms part of these Terms.

22. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not affect a Programme registration already confirmed and paid, unless the law requires it. Continuing to use the Website after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

23. Governing law and disputes

23.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.

23.2 If you have a complaint, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. We will acknowledge it within 5 working days and aim to respond in full within 30 days.

23.3 If we cannot resolve a dispute by discussion, either party may refer it to mediation under the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act, 2010 (Act 798). If that does not resolve it, the courts of Ghana have exclusive jurisdiction.

24. General

24.1 If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

24.2 If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.

24.3 You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours to a successor business.

24.4 These Terms, the Privacy Policy and any Programme-specific terms or Sponsor agreement are the whole agreement between you and us about their subject.
